Antique’s Binirayan Festival was my last visit for 2012

Witnessing the Binirayan Festival of the Province of Antique was my last trip for the year 2012. This is my first time to witness the festival, and just like any other festivals it showcases the Province’s history and culture.

The Binirayan Festival commemorates the legend of the arrival of the ten Bornean datus on the island of Aninipay now known as Panay. The highlight of the festival was the Malay-Ati Tribe Competition which shows historical events, folk practices and lifestyles in Antique.
